DESCRIPTION
Join Rae Stellaris in an epic quest through the cosmos in this cutesy, Game Boy-inspired bullet hell. As the daughter of legendary Lunaheim galactic soldiers who died protecting the planet in a fight against Emperor Quack, Rae’s destiny is to destroy the Emperor Quack to avenge her parents and keep her home planet Lunaheim safe.
NARRATIVE DESIGN
Adorabullet is a game made for the GBJAM11 2023. The game is made in GODOT.
For this project I collaborated with a friend to write the backstory of the game. During this process we made a narrative design document together. My friend set-up the world and the characters, but I took the freedom to edit and rename small parts of the story to fit our game theme better.
The character lines for Rae are completely written and thought of by me. The goal was to make her a very girly and maybe even cringe character to fit the theme of a chaotic bullet hell the best.
For this game writing the narrative was a blast. I got to write a very girly character and make her as cringe as possible which was really fun to do.
From this project I learned that when working on a game with multiple narrative designers, communication and role division is really important. This way work doesn't get overlapped or miscommunicated.
